you will be ok.. do a surch for 202 mods in the forums and you should find some stuff... like putting high comp heads etc.. or going to a 202 blue/black motor & what you need to look out for..

anyway welcome aboard..

Hi there Beddy1.....Cant knock the old J series truck, they were one of the most popular work horses around in their day. There is another forum which i brouse thru every now and then , and that is the HCVC truck forum. There is a whole whord of knowledgable people there. Thanks for the very warm welcome and thank you for the tip on the HCVC but they will not like me as my bedford is going to be a retro rat rod not a cut and chop just matt black some pin stripes and moon caps and the HCVC only have historic trucks and buses. so i found this forum not seeing it was for C models not J but i will stay here for now as i need info on the 202's etc.

thanks again
cheers

Try these out for some excellent tricks on hotting up a holden six:

http://www.hotsixes.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4&Itemid=4

The general consensus is that the VK EFI head and ram tube manifold is the simplest and most efficient way to increase power. I took out the injectors, plugged the injector holes with welsh plugs and ran lpg from an Impco 225 mixer straight into the throttle body. Very good torque, quick pickup, and very economical.
http://www.oldholdens.com/tech/vkeficonversion/index.php

but otherwise, by the time you do all the mods, you might as well have bought a V8 and whacked that in.
1976 SWB CF, 186 block, LPG customised VK EFI self ported Head, LPG converted Ram tube manifold, Extractors, Supra 5 speed, Falcon hwy Diff, HQ Disc brakes, Commodore 3 core cross-flow radiator, HEI, 90 litre LPG.
It can drive up a wall in 5th gear and across the Sun without overheating!
