Nahh!  A beddie would drive through it with a smashed windscreen and a few dents.
....and then go back to see what help was needed.

Lucky it happened at night, or there would have been hundreds dead and injured.
The quake woke us in Wellington...seemed to go on for 15 seconds or so.
Funny old life.

sadly my beddie suffered a few scrapes in the paintwork in this mornings earthquake, as did my commodore. A bit pissed off about it, 2 deep scratches in the bonnet, 1 in the rf flare and 1 in the front spoiler. As am only about 40kms from the centre of the quake it lasted over a minute of shaking here. On a positive note no structual damage to house only broken chrystal ware in the china cabinet, a messed up garage and a messed up office, and the girls, my wife and me all ok. Bit of a rude awakening though, 4.35 am is a bit early for brekky, scrambled eggs anyone? or how bout a milk shake? lol

Cheers Jeff

thanks hunter, I'm supprised there wasn't more damage to the 3 in my garage given how much is stored in my garage with them. And even more supprisingly all the stuff out in my car parts sheds in the back yard nothing out of place except a few brake slave cylinders fallen off.

Cheers Jeff
