Mouldings
« on: June 12, 2009, 09:32:56 PM »
Hey all
My ex ambo went into the shop to have a bent door fixed, the guys have stretched the 280P mould.
Anyone know how/if this can be straightened/shrunk so I can refit it?
Cheers
Ritchie

Black rubber/plastic stick on strip on the door, like a rub strip on a car except it has 280P moulded into it, goes where the crease is along the door bottom.

heat gun might work, some of those plastics have a "memory" and heated will shrink back to shape
or other types just shrink
then again it might melt
I have been lucky so far

Gotcha, yes try a heat gun but be gentle and have a cool damp rag handy.
