Suggestions for grill cf2
« on: May 26, 2009, 05:08:23 PM »
Ok here is the dilema.
I have a ton of ideas for my interior and a pretty good idea of what i want to do on most of the exterior, flairs, side skirts, gull wing side door, roof aerofoil etc.

But I cant work out what to do with my grill area, the XC fairmont grills look great, but it's been done again and again, if youve got one I dont mean to upset you, but it has been done eh.

By the way does the XC front even suit the CF2 nose ?

Ive spent hours and hours on the net and going through the gallery and have a few ideas but nothing gel's

So im thinking maybe a few heads are better than one here, so what crazy or cool ideas can you come up with ??
I dont want some great big sloping nose cone that looks like a ski slope and id like to stay 80's retro.
Id also like to go duel head lamps either side by side or rectangular one above the other.

So with a bit of a brief im putting it out there, lets see how creative you lot really are.

go chevy van style, or even the toyota van ? does the dual headlights
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

I just missed out on a CF-Chev style van grill with twin head lamps, this was a repro part made in the 80's for Cf's and it just sold on TM for about $130.00

At this stage im leaning toward a set up with twin rectangle head lamps stacked one above the other and a simple custom alloy bar grill.

Craig im interested to see what your star billit idea looks like, it might fit well with the western theme of the van.

HotRod im having a brain fade I will have to do a Google on HX & HZ and refresh my memory.

Cheers
