Thanks Marty, they give me some idea about mounting the mixer and cut out. I gather your saying it still has the carby under that thingy under the air cleaner?
maybe chuck the photos in your gallery?

That's a pretty sweet set up and now that I see it I think it might work well for me with 2 tanks on the inside and then I can build a bed frame to sit on top with drawers underneath.

i have two 65-70lt tanks.

how do they set them up?

do they have like a balance pipe between the two or do you fill them independently? do you run two gauges?

after reading that ben is fitting his own i have to ask is this legal? (no offense ben)  ;D

or can you mount everything at home (settle fellas im talking gas tanks and mixers  ;D ) and just get the gas fitter to run the copper?

gday i run 2 tanks straight gas, 90l longways behind drivers seat and 50l behind diff. spare wheel goes in petrol tank mounts. 140l gets around 750kms with a 202 and trimatic. separate fillers with a switch between the two... ive got photos in my gallery.
take it easy.

my swb has a 110litre tank, the afl lets it fill up to 80liters
this tank fits longways inside, drivers side between drivers seat and rear wheel arch
still have dual fuel

Just wondering where you guys with gas have your tanks mounted and what size they are?

Thanks

Drivers side gas tank 55 litre

passenger side gas tank 57 litre

underside view of both tanks

They both hang a bit lower than I would have liked but that was the only I could get the capacity I wanted

It is not as close as it looks able, so not really an issue for the tanks.
