Driveline / Scooby Doo rim size« on: August 27, 2016, 04:12:33 PM »
Gday all, been awhile since I've been on here, mental health issues.
I'm still saving cash for driveline selection. I've settled on an auto, think the limited room between motor cover and steering column will be smaller after a v6 or v8 shoehorned in What I'm thinking about is bigger brakes, rotors and therefore a bigger rims. I like the deep dish rims on the Scooby Doo van, anyone know the size they would be. I haven't been involved with the beddie for a bit, I'm going to have to get in and research more Thank you for your time Brett 4

Driveline / Starting to collect bits« on: October 20, 2015, 11:34:41 AM »
Gday all I'm starting to collect bits I need for cleaning and upgrading brakes, and subframe
Yesterday I got some new rotors, I've taken old girlock calipers off, I'll replace with some more modern style calipers I'd like to go the stub tech drop spindle route as well, at moment it's little things and slow, a lot of saving money 7
Maintenance / Bedford bonnet hinge« on: October 09, 2015, 03:52:13 PM »
Gday all, I had some loose, flogged out hinges for my bonnet, I had a lot of lateral movement that allowed the bonnet sides to bang into the side of engine bay . I thought I better get it sorted before it being painted, long way off there
The problem was a lot of wear around a lot of the pivot or rotating ....hinged areas maybe some rubber or another material had perished also My original plan was to drill out and use something like shoulder bolts, maybe bearings or nylon to help tighten I had a small gas strut lying around which made me think of trying it, the strut worked great for tightening everything up without removing anything...but, I'm a little out with the position. At the moment I can't close it 100% Good news, it tightened it up, no lateral movement, it's an easy lift strut which works great. I thought it was wrong sort off strut Now back to the drawing board to relocate strut position 8
Exteriors and Interiors / how do you do your interior« on: October 05, 2015, 07:22:26 AM »
After reading an old post regarding advice on interiors, i started to think about styles. If you were planning yours now which way would you go
old school style, fully decked out a practicle purpose built or what ever is modern now personaly i think id go in between the two style (somehow)....id like a bed in back, maybe a fridge and tv, not sure about a divider or "arch" separating cab and back. Might include an electric grill for cooking bacon and eggs or a toasted sandwich on cold early mornings Wouldnt mind a wood floor either, dont know if itll squeek though 9
Driveline / Pcd patterns« on: September 29, 2015, 10:27:02 AM »
Just a quick question for anyone, I was wondering about wheels and which to choose , I haven't settle on brakes, diff etc yet either
What I'm wondering is does ford pcd pattern remain consistent throughout their range of vechiles or do they change like holders do ie hq and commodore I'm not sure if any of this matters but thought going ford pcd will be more flexible Thank you 10
CF Bedford Chat / What are you planning to do next« on: September 28, 2015, 04:27:52 AM »
Gday all, I'm starting to get back into things, haven't done anything much at all on the bed in last couple of months or maybe year, weather has been shit, have no power in shed yet and struggle with mental health
Getting back into things my plans ( just little ones) are; drop out the front, remove 202, disassemble sub frame, clean and paint, replace anything that needs it investigate power window kit, fix up bonnet hinges as mine has a lot of lateral movement, I've also got to change one front wheel from beddie drum to hq disc. That's the immediate list of small things , the other is save up for new motor, and parts.... Or a donor car After a lot of pondering I'm settling on a v6 and auto, would a 10 bolt Salisbury diff be suitable, handle things ok Thank you
