Hello, I am trying to find some front shock absorbers for my CF2, its a 1985 model with heavy duty hubs (so I was told) all the shocks I can find have a pin at each end but I need the ones with a loop at the bottom and a pin at the top. Does anyone know of a supplier? must be good quality.
Failing that I am thinking about making/ buying some retaining plates to go onto the lower wishbones. what are your thoughts on that please.

Thanks, I have wire wheeled off a lot of rust from the one side where it wasn't undersealed when new, treated, primed, painted and undersealed but the van is pretty good for rust overall. I got an air filter now. Anyway, the van is running as of yesterday, initial testing shows good results. https://youtu.be/LNDjngh5rzQ

well I've made some measurements and the the and old engine and gearbox are pretty much the same size, plus the volvo engine is fitted leaned over about 20 or so degrees which sort of helps with the fitting in the van I think but until I get the old unit out and offer up the new one theres no way to tell for sure

ps.... In the mean time since my last posts here I got back into Volvos with the purchase of this 1991 240, complete with B230ft 2.3 turbo) engine, lowered, chipped etc. Decided that a Volvo B230e engine will be nice in the bedford, almost double the power of the CIH in it at the moment, coupled with a 4 speed autobox should make for good cruising speed, already purchased an engine and box for only £150, currently overhauling engine, to be fitted next winter.

WOW, its been a while since my last post here, The van has served us proud, we have used it a fair bit and put 20,000 miles on her since we found her. The paint took a battering and rust started to appear in certain areas (bottom of windscreen and steps) the tyres banged on the arch flares every now and again.
So after 5 years of British weather the Van is back in the workshop for a tart up. It started of as "just a tidy of below the belt line and rust" and developed into a full respray, I ended up cutting off the front arches altogether and made new ones which allow a bit more clearance and flare out more than the first ones, they are also a bit bigger at the rear of the front tyres to make them more effective. I've been working on it since late december doing all I can to prep it for the paint job, going mad with jenoilte and 2 part primer, now its in the hands of the experts and just gone into primer today (pics tomorrow)
I've hit on a major stumbling block in the form of the window seals on the front doors. I contacted a company that make seals and sent them some samples of the remains of the seals I have but alas, they contacted me today and told me they can't help unless I want to order 1000's of metres of seals. Is there anywhere in the world that can supply the seals I need?
