hey vintage, i know the Monaro has nothing to do with beddy's, but here goes, besides having a passion for bedfords i also have a passion for monaro's. To buy a stock monaro today you need a fortune, i would love a HQ, or HX  LE [limited edition] 2 door, for me there is no such thing as a 4 door monaro. lol. I have been looking at the idea of getting a 4 door kingswood or monaro and converting it to a 2 door, everyone says what i know, what a big job, you need to get it to look authentic, so no one has offered to do the job. So i keep looking for that orphaned shell sitting around in someones drive. Oh well one day.  ;D So far this is the closest i have come to getting my monaro, this is 1:18 scale, i have every monaro ever made in my collection.

Yeh, i know a secret to, there are hundreds of monaros here in qld, no one is selling.  ;D I parked near a hk monaro a few years ago, it was barely legal, and i waited and finally asked him if he would sell it, he said yes, $10,000. It was worth about 4 or $5000. Every panel needed to be replaced, expensive. So no sale. It was not my first choice of model so.

about 15yrs ago when i was buying my first car....i had a choice of 3 cars (in darwin) 1/ A 4dr torana (SLR's were all the rage) 2/ The exact same Monara as in the picture (same colour everything) ONLY it was completely in pieces, and i mean completly...so it would have taken a while to put together (and i wanted to drive)....or 3/ A lime Green Nissan C20 van, in pretty good nick, regoed etc...and ofcourse the closest thing to a bedford i could find/afford......I went the Nissan......if ONLY i had of been patient:( ID BE RICHHHHHH.

Hey George its not that easy to 2 door a sedan (I did a 2 door hx statesman ) the Monaro screen is 2 inch shorter the incline angle is different and the doors are fatter at the belt line if i was going to do it agaian i would start with a 2 door shell and graft a HQ Statesman rear on it   Maybe after i finish BLACKBEDI Hmmmmmmmm

Those Torri's came out in two door didn't they? I can appreciate all the work you've done but once it's finished nobody will know, what about turning it into a hatchback, now that would turn heads
