just wondering if anyone has conducted business with these fellas as castle main rod shop put me on to them while i was chasing a hq disk conversion kit. i tried hoppers stoppers but they want around $1400 for a complete bolt on kit which is a little more then the $350 that the crs charged for the adapter set ups.... >:(

hoppers stoppers claimed on the phone that for the old crs cf brake adapter kits you had to send them your stubs and they (crs) were modifying them and causing snapping stubs and crash's????????

from what i heard they (crs) just sent you the plates and bearings in the mail????? it was silly people with even silly'er brake specialists that where modifying the stubs instead of getting the right bearing combo?

l can't justerfy the money hopper stoppers charge. They got me in the early 90's on my fj. They quoted me $300 and something to put stainless sleaves in the wheel cylinders, when l picked them up it was up near $700 :'( :'( :'(
make it reliable, or smash it with a big hammer

Able

I have had limited dealings with them (ACW) in the past, but I found them to be good to deal with and reasonable on price.

One of my Karate friends who had a CF tray-top for business used them for years (thats how I found out about them) and he was very happy with them - they tend to deal in the trucks more than vans though I think.

I went to hoppers stoppers when i was looking for the conversion first off and i got the feeling they couldn't have given two hoots of shit about wanting my business - i ended up with CRS and those guys were amazing! i hear they have since stopped doing them which is a shame.

Yeah I put the CMR disk kit on my van. The kit included brackets, spacers, nuts and bolts and instructions. I still had to source discs, bearings, brake calipers and the machining of the discs. This was back in 98. Cost about $700 all up back then (and I was happy with the drums only did it for the engine up grade). When Hopper Stoppers say they provide a complete kit does it include what I had to do extra?

Just a quick question Ben, don't mean to put the poohaa on anything but
as you are now re-producing and selling the kits do you need insurance as you can bet your bottom dollar CRS had it cause if one of their products failed, without insurance they would have been in deep doodoo.
And it is not just BUGA members who can say they don't care but the members of the public who may get hurt and the dreaded INSURANCE COMPANIES who will sure as shit look for someone to blame! and pay the bill!
If you like it do it, If you like it a lot do it a lot!
