My engine builder think he flogged it too hard and ran it too lean.  Also won't speak to the guy who bought it anymore because he would ring up more than once a day every day asking questions.  My builder think he doesn't know what he's talking about and there is no way with the constant dyno results there was a problem.  His feedback is fine though.  Although the guy who bought it is not the person hassling me and my engine builder it's the guy who installed it in the boat.

hey Doof, sorry to hear your drama's brother but my opinion is the same as Johns/Craig's especially if there's a video of the dyno run, i also agree with your builder and the boys saying "run hot hard and lean" this engine was not built for a ski boat, and obviously has not been set up by any professional at all.Otherwise they would have been advised about the cooling requirements and been forwarned of the above . good luck mate, you have done no wrong in my opinion....Dano
Can I go play now...?

I  gotta agree with the boys on this one .firstly they purchased a second hand engine with no warrantee implied and aside from that no pro engine builder gives a warrantee on performance/race or off road engines anyway so dont stress bud you ve done no wrong in my book. thats just my 400 cents worth  ;D ;D ;)

This is the desciption that he has given ebay.
The block has 5cracks,also has 2sleeves.Also looks to have 2different
brands of pistons. Heads dont have steam holes in them causing it to burn out head gasket in 10minutes.2of
the cylinder bores are extremely badly pitted.Motor was not rebored. Motor should not have been
assembled with bores that bad, causing the rings to chew out & not seal, causing motor to excessively
blowing out the breather & pushing oil out breather. The block is stuffed.Needs replacing.

yeh this sounds real sus. the motor was perfect when it was on the dyno, now its got 5 cracks in it?????

just from all the information id say your right doofhard must have stuffed. whos to say he ran it for 10mins? he may have ran it for 2 hours??? if he doesnt know what he is doing im pretty sure he could do a lot of damage in 2 hours:.

yeh ive come to the same conclusion as others doofhard. you sold it in good faith. and i recon the blokes are trying to stiff you cause they stuffed up.

if you think the bloke who bought it off you is honest have to chatted to him about this? and what did he say? i suppose the other bloke could be pulling the wool over his eyes also if he is the guy who stuffed up.
