« on: December 30, 2013, 11:37:03 AM »
hi all .. i read somewhere that holden did at one time assemble a few beddys with a 253 motor over the usual 6 cylinders... have been looking at my compliance plates..   and 1 am not really sure how to dechipher it an 2 there is no mention of engine no in it..  tho it is registered as having a 253 V8 in  it also it is registered as a "touring van" was just curios as in was this a factory manufactured V8 or if someone had done a conversion with eng reports..any of u guys know how to read the compliances ??? pictured below .. cheers skippy

thanks for input guys i used mattes  method...   plus a stringline also  and i also equalled both tie rod threads around the same  length  till i had the same measurement of 1951mm both front and back of front wheels, which at an educated guess would make the wheels straight ahead... are u saying kiwi that i will now have to adjust them both 15 degrees toe in ??  which would be rumaxs measurements in mm ??

CF Bedford Chat / Re: rear bearings
« on: December 19, 2013, 10:24:20 AM »
;D  ;D  ;D  ;D all good mty fitted like a glove never known "ol futile" to be so quiet... back on the road ... n continue headin north.... thanks again mty your a gem.... words of warning to beddophiles.... all the aussie distributors have bought cheap shitty chinese bearings for the rear axle that have ALL had the o ring seal groove machined on THE WRONG SIDE OF THE BEARING!!  :  :o  :o :o .. :o all every single one in stock in aus... also my receipt read SKF bearing 415691B.. at $187.00... when i pursued this further CBC admitted they were CHEAP chinese bearings being charged at the well made bearing price ..pretty bloody naughty i reckon... so unless they have the manufacurers name stamped in thenm .. they are cheap copies. an we should all arc up at them for this blatent deception in trading!!  greed is a horrible thing and we are all being taken for a ride over this .... so bear in mind when ordering these things ... cheers dears skippy  ;)
