Wire was in the middle connector top right hand corner light blue colour but I gave them all a bit of a clean as most had signs of corrosion

I had a similar problem turned out to be a poor connection in the plug where the wiring harness passed through the firewall on the drivers side up near the top of the inner guard.
I had a multimeter and had 12 V at the indicator light but still would not work the resistance in the connector allowed the voltage to register at nil current but once a bulb tried to illuminate the resistance in the connector prevented sufficient current to pass.
Simple solution was to disconnect the plug and clean/brighten up the pins on the connector and all good
Cheers

Campers / Re: Camper Update
« on: December 09, 2011, 05:24:31 PM »
I have a similar plate on my 76 camper that has been welded over the original chassie number on the passenger side firewall, when I asked Qld Transport about it they advised that the stamped original number was difficult to read as the numbers were not stamped in very deep and there was some discussion if a digit was a C or O. So as a solution the Qld Transport issued a new number on a steel plate that they supplied and the owner had to weld on but my number is stamped into the plate not welded like yours.

Did you use the manifold off the 186, someone on this site once said the 202 manifold was different to the 186 one, just a idea to consider

Cheers
