greetings all , 3 weeks left of life on the road then home to Melbourne, can't believe its been 1 year and 18 weeks of working and travelling up and down the east coast of Oz, (currently working building bridges on the Pacific Highway Coffs Harbour) in all that time only saw 3 cf vans and a load of beddie mobile homes, BUT only home for the weekend before moving to Beaufort to work in Ararat, Stawell, Horsham and the Grampians for the next two years. Gotta find a garage to rent so I can finish the beddie project or travel back to Melbourne every weekend ....... talk soon ya'll

g'day mates, chur bros .... went to the Dawn Service in Canberra today with so many others to remember and pay my respects to those who served on behalf of Aussies and Kiwis. Had a nice suprise after the Service, was strolling around Mt Ainslie looking for where I had parked (duh ... it was dark at 430 a.m.) and came across a good looking swb cab trayback parked on the street. Nice way to end the early morning.

woo hooo, this week is my last with my current employer then a few weeks in Melbourne raising cash for fuel then me and the faithful one (thats the missus not the beddie) will be heading off on an extended 18 month road trip. Hooking up the caravan behind the poofjero and heading where ever . Beddie will sit in the garage for 18 weeks before we come back to Melbourne to take it to whereever we end up. No plans, no committments, no idea and no money. Will be looking for work wherever, in my past life I was a carpenter so returning to the tools, been offered house sitting in Hervey Bay for 3 months but undecided might get bored being in one place, perhaps Nth Qld, Nth Territory or maybe Perth? 18 months on the road going where the work is ....... this weekend sanded the rear of the van, fitted struts to the one piece rear door and picked up reverse switch for ozzie 4 speed today from Joe in Dandenong, have to fit the van out with shelving to carry tradie tools then service and register her, then look for tradie roof rack to fit beddie. Still haven't started packing at home or at work but time is getting close to saying bye bye to 3 sons at home and hello to adventure before dementia

Hey boyz and girlz only putting this out there as a matter of interest, I have a nearly completed swb windowless van, engineered 253 4 speed, dual fuel, 9" diff. disc brake front, needs work to complete but have lately been considering a cf swb cab tray back as a preferred work truck for the move back to the tools, luv the van but gotta be practical, if no good I'll turn the custom van into a work van but I reckon that will wreck it, check out my gallery pg 6 .........

the big move to the country is less than 90 days away ....anyone wanna buy a slightly used good second hand house in North Ringwood? comes with a couple of motors and beddie parts in the garage ..... got me thinking about how to country proof the beddie on the country roads ..... bull bar? spot lights? aerials? was up at Shepparton on the weekend and noticed how many flying dinasours are splatted on the front of the vehicles .... fair dinkum some were as big as black hawk helicopters ... so do I put a flyscreen panel on the front of the van so the radiator doesn't clog up? doent like the look of the bull bar but I'm tipping I'm going to be doing alot of highway and back road kays ..... how do you kill the roo before it makes contact with the bonnett? or more concerningly how do you kill the roo and throw it to the side before it hits the front of the van? roo bars are so .... 80s
