G'day
I have been harbouring a dark little secret, worried that everyone would bag me if they found out. Well someone on his way home from the Nats mentioned that another BUGArite has the same dirty little secret, so I am coming out...
I have bought another van, a Suzuki Carry van.
It is a 2000 model with aircon, power windows, central locking, CD player, and legal to seat 4. It is the RetraVision van with 100K on the clock and is in top condition. Retra Vision closed down and the van has been sitting in a shed but is still registered to August.
I got it for $4000. The local car yard wants $9000 for a van in worse condition.
I picked up a set of nice mags to fit it with excellent tyres for $50 the lot on Saturday at a Garage sale.
I have a shopping list of goodies for it so when I get ready, it will be a mean little van.
I am tinting the windows today in a very dark tint.
I am planning a free flowing exhaust with a bigger cat and an electric Supercharger. I know everybody bags them, but I know a couple of blokes who have bought them secondhand off ebay and had a noticeable improvement in performance.
In Pommyland, Vauxhall used to rebadge the early Suzuki handivan as a Bedford Rascal, so it is not a total defection on my part. I still have my Bedfords but needed something economical (7l/100km), and disposable.
Regards
Chris

And my $50 set of alloys are a bit too wide so I have to wait for the flair kit to arrive:

G'day
Not yet.
I start a new contract job tomorrow and needed a van. The rate is fairly low and there are a lot of miles involved, that's why I wanted something very cheap to run and disposable at the end of it.

yeh well i need something cheap to run to transport all of your vans to my house hahaha..
