Hey... Would you like to join us, celebrating CF bedfords 50th birthday this year?
As this is once in a life time celebrations, we in NSW, Australia, are going to hold two events this year.
One in August on 24th & 25th of August , for a run from Sydney on Saturday, maybe thru the central coast to Newcastle, stopping for lunch, photo shoot, cruise in convoy to maybe Newcastle for another photo shoot and dinner, maybe a night time cruise along Newcastle's foreshore, a very popular spot and route for car enthusiasts and another possible night time photo shoot.
And the second on the Oct long weekend 5th , 6th and 7th.
Rob Slater, is hosting this weekend, on his property in Huskisson NSW, just south of Wollongong/ Sydney. Saturday for traveling and setting up camp, There is plenty of room for vans, caravans, tents, then we can all enjoy a bonfire, BBQ , drinks and music that night.
Then head out on a planned cruise on Sunday to a pub or bistro for lunch, and back in convoy for another drive, photo shoot, and another convoy back to camp for a second night of partying and talking all things bedford, and then Monday we all can start heading home at our leisure.
Please reply if you would like to attend these weekends, and i will keep you informed as it gets closer with more details.
If your van is not on the road, your still welcome to join in on these once in a life time events.
We will also need volunteers to take pictures and videos of the events and convoys, on route. So if you have the skills and want to help out please let me know.
If any of you have any contacts or friends in any form of media, Local TV or magazines, plz get in contact with me as it might be fun to have some coverage of these events.
It will be a awesome weekend meeting up, checking out vans and meeting their owners. Its such a great way to get ideas and tap into all the beddy brains, who have lovingly cared for and restored these beloved vans.
My phone number is 0422975697 to call or send a text message
my email is wendy4096@gmail.com
Your feed back is greatly appreciated if you would like to come along and have a fun idea for the group to do.
I'm so looking forward to meeting you all and your vans.
Cheers Wendy & Ray

Hi Wendy & Ray,
Just a question re wheel sizes for the Bedford? 15" looks a good upgrade on the 14", however, wondering how 16" would look?
I like the wheels on your van. Wondering what size are they?
-
Hi Baz
16 all round currently
We were running 17 on rear for a while. Yet with the 5 speed box, made it too high geared , had to rev it heaps to take off, especially on a hill start unloaded....but great on the freeway out of Sydney....Awesome with the turbo 😁😁😁😁😁😁

Hi Ray and Wendy
Great pics and sounds like a great time was had :) . I have since spoken to Charboo and he told me he had a great time as well. I'm sorry I couldn't make it, after starting 3 months ago on a little proactive maintenance so I could make the journey trouble free I developed I miss in the engine which also caused it to stop completely a couple of times. So with out going into all the detail, after replacing a number of items the fault was traced to faulty brand new parts (DFI and coils). A few lessons have been learnt from this and I learned a lot more about the engine , anyway sometime things are just not meant to be. She's running bloody good now though.....doh!!
Hopefully catch up with everyone another time :)
Cheers
