Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.
I'm trying to get my neutral safety switch working on my CF2 (202 with trimatic) as it starts in all gears but finding information online is proving tricky.
There are 3 posts on top of switch (only 2 are connected and it does matter where or engine won't crank), 2 posts at bottom with black cables running off then 2 more wires coming up with what seems to be a blown bulb attached.
I've had a look under the truck and all wires seem to go to transmission which wasn't what I was expecting. Also, everything I read says that they should be purple wires which makes me think that maybe someone has intentionally bypassed.
The top two cables (white from red/white) get power when being cranked but can't see anything off starter/ignition running there.
The bulb always has power which makes me think that there was a light around shifter as my park lights are always on too.
That would make me think that the black wires are reverse lights.
I am a complete amateur just trying to work my way through these things hopefully without paying a pro :-)

Hi Joshlindsay, hopefully you have got this fixed by now, but on the chance it's still a problem. You could be right someone may have by passed the inhibitor switch. If you can get hold of a holden workshop manual hq to hz, the wireing diagram should be the same or very close to the beddie.that will help track the problem down. Should be a switch on the side of the box with 2 wires ( I think it only 2 ). Follow those 2 wires back, if it's been bypassed it should be obvious. Hope this helps or gets you on the right track.

if your wiring is original this will help http://www.in.odessa.ua/abodator/cf280/wd/Bedford-CF-Wiring-Diagram-7234.jpg
I changed my shifter and box so mine has 4 wires
