Title: Door compatability?
Post by: Betty Bedford on July 01, 2015, 01:27:57 PM
Hi,

Slower than slow progress on my van lately.

Can anyone answer if doors from a '72 lwb will fit my '77 lwb, front and rear barn doors?

Cheers
Sam

Hi Betty Bedford, saw a post concerning doors? I'm in Nelson and have just bought a LWB , centre door model, need a mechanism for drivers side window. Can you help out? I'm from Brisbane, my other Beddy is a slide door, have spare slide doors ! It's not too far to travel from Nelson?

Any leads greatly appreciated, thanks , downhill.

Hi Wendyh, I kept sliding doors off the spare van, barn doors too, no ,I don't have spares for a slider, still haven't got around to doing a block for the bottom rail. My slider is in storage in a Brisbane, I'm currently in Nelson NZ, working, and have bought a long Beddy here for $500. :) It's missing window regulators, I bought a whole door to get the regulator, local, I posted because the original post is local, so I hoped to snag something there. Busy Kiwi and Rogerfied have been helping me with info about NZ models, and I have a very patient workshop that's done brakes and stuff for me, coz I'm holed up in a holiday park til September. Oh why do I do it ?  :(Trying to get this one into standard shape to drive it. Looking forward to a standard 2.3l slant four petrol power, gunna be a shock after the slider V8, Clevo!

Uphill again, oh oh oh push it boyo! LOL ;D

Hey Betty Bedford do you have LWB bits? I have one in Nelson and am looking for an engine and gearbox, standard to avoid the change cert process.

Hey Downhill,

Are you still going to be in Nelson Easter next year? If so the 40th NZ Van Nats are on in Blenheim, not far from Nelson. Be great to see you there.

Have fun.
Garry.

Hey Downhill,

I've been out of the loop for a while and didn't see your reply - you find your parts? I've got a standard motor (been told it needs reconditioning) and box up here still.

Cheers
Sam

Bedford Betty, yes out of the loop, me too. The van is now in Oz, and I have what I need to engine it, thanks. Am sprucing up a front end and standard holden for the jumbo, the Vauxhall camper is not yet rego'd here, but gets run regularly, hoping to get a few miles out of the slant four yet. Thanks.
