Hi folks,
am considering using some dynamat after addressing the remaining body issues of the van. Have read the old thread about insulation for roofs etc and found dynamat to be the best option. But expensive. For lining floor, walls and roof does anyone know how much would be needed? I guess I could do that maths but if anyone's done it, can you let me know.

(Have found some for sale online with Ryda $142 + postage for 12 sq foot of Dynaliner. So maybe two sheets???)

Maira, should make a trip to NZ can pick it up for $115 for 12sqf. Have done floor roof and doors, cab only and it was about 8 pkts.

maria, i just used house carpet underlay, the different coloured foam pressed stuff, its cheap as at a carpet place, offcuts,
plus its not stuck in so there,s never any drama getting it back out without 2 much mess and wastage.
incase u need welding etc in future. did my whole swb for $40
quiet as in cabin and back.

Maria,

I ended up using 3 x Bulk Kits (contains 9 sheets) & 4 x Trunk kits (contains 5 sheets). It’s pretty expensive, but the best stuff. Garry Armstrong has done the same & he already notices a difference in road noise etc. I’ll need a little more to finish it off before the interior goes in.

Over here you pay approx $350 for Bulk kits & $180 for trunk kits.

i put a 5600 watt amp and  12 speakers in mine lol

thanks for the feedback all. just working out where to spend money (when it appears from the sky) and where not to.

and yes marty. that is real, real blown good eh. won't get far with that. not getting far at the moment either, getting a new radiator. my temp gauge went maximus on one of those melbourne 40 degree days. 120! i didn't know the radiator was blocked then. i do now.
