Gidday
Have bought a windowless door to replace mine with a window, and need to swap the hinges over as mine are as new plus the ones on new door need to be adjusted slightly so can't just swap pins.
Problem, they are held on with the biggest arsed posi-drive headed bolts ever,
now 99% of the guys in repco/autopro/hardware don't even know what a posi-drive is until you grab one off the shelf and show them and of course they don't have anything big enough!
The bits that come with impact drivers are only phillips head bits and the largest looks too small.
What have people out there used and does anyone have a part name/number so I can order one.
even tried the local hire place but of course they closed at midday!
cheers Pat

Standard screws in the Bedford doors are Pozi not Phillips. Yes they do look the same and you can get away with using a Phillips driver, but if they screws are tight you'll just destroy them.

Pat, I have a few impact driver sets here and they all have Pozi bits. Where abouts in the Wide Bay are you? I'll be in Hervey Bay next weekend.

Thanks for the offer Shane but I've managed to defeat the Bas&%rd without burring any of the heads! Big phillips and vicegrips worked on one door and impact driver on other, plan on removing other doors so needed impact driver anyway.
Shane I'm in Gympie about 1 min off the highway so if you think you are going to want a drink or a break just let me know this week and I will pm you my address.
point to note for anyone interested There is NO PAINT on your doors under your hinges as I just found bare metal and or surface rust.

Thanks Pat. We normally do the trip without stopping as I like to get the most out of the resort we stay in ;D
Thanks for the offer though.

Is that your property Marty? If I get time I'll pop in there and have a look.
