It's a great site, fast and lots of options. There was not too much wrong with the old set up, but this is real progress.
Things should so smoothly.
Thanks everyone.

Jeff I'm glad you like it ShaneJ has done a great job getting into shape. Without his time and skill well we would be still on the old system.

Thanks. We're tweaking as we go so hopefully it will keep getting better for a while.
We also have a new theme coming for the forum which will make it a little different but it will be more suited to Bedfords.
-

New site looks good does'nt look like it will be to difficult to navigate.
Just a question though, with the technical section will some of the important technical be coming across to this site or can we put our updated technical information in the new technical section.
Julian

I'm hoping that people will re post updated information on these new forums.
-
Ok That probably sounds a better idea having updated info.

Now get busy posting ;)

I've got to get another pattern of the brake calipre bracket and the length of the bolts holding them on So I will take the brakes off and make a pattern and hopefully be doing that in the next couple of weeks, including pics. amongst other things getting the heater back in and working properly, (hasn't worked for ? years) but don't need the hot in Qld. and a bit a rust in the passenger door.
Julian
-
What are the brakes you're running?
-
HQ discs, with PBR brakes. currently got the beddie booster with a HQ master cylinder. Have been doing to hunting, and can use ford bearings ( info from old site member) and trying to track down a Ford XB booster and master cylinder to fit, without denting ther bonnet.

Just want to say well done to ShaneJ and crew for the new site, it's heaps more user friendly.
Also a sugestion to the Mod's - maybe you could sort through the threads on the old site and cut and past the valuable information from there into here.

Thanks mate. I think the Bedford community was just getting to large with so much useful information that the old forum was just too restrictive.

I did start doing this but to me it looked like I was taking credit for other peoples time, effore and hard work even though I was specifying the original poster. I'm happy to do this though if everyone is happy with it.
-
Go for it ShaneJ as it will stop me from having to open another page 8)

I think if you refer to the original site or poster then that is fine.
What is important is that the valuable information is retained, and easily refrenced/found here.
I'm willing to help if you wish.

Lets start by making a new thread on here and post links to informative posts on the old forum that we would like here.
-
I was going to wait a little while so people could get used to the new site before we starting brining over old posts.
We will need to co ordinate this so we dont double up or miss anything.
If people are willing to help then a section or part of will be given to you to go through.

BUGA - I tended to stay away from the old site cause it was so slow, but this new site - BUGA

Please add links in the following thread:
http://www.buga.com.au/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,2/topic,114.0/
We'll then work on a neat way to post them here.
