In 2006 I went all most half way around the world to see a my first total solar eclipse in Turkey (after missing the 1 in aus)
I just got sent a link to a site on the latest in Siberia and the words and video give me tingles. Some may be interested some may not.
Turkey's eclipse was the best naturally occuring thing I have ever seen. I loved this guys story

G'day
my Daughter and I caught the Aus one 2 kms from our house.
We were told it would not be visible from our place and so did not worry about it. I was going to a Bush Fire Brigade meeting and when I went over the hill at the front of our place I realised that the full eclipse was about to happen. I turned around and went back home and got my daughter with very little explanation. When we pulled up over the hill we got see the full eclipse with the sun setting still mostly covered. Every car and truck that came past stopped with everyone looking in awe. My daughter and I reckon it is one of the neatest things we have seen, so if you get the chance, go for it.
And no we did not get any photos as in the rush we forgot the camera.
Regards
