Title: My new SWB
Post by: Shazbot on October 04, 2008, 05:08:04 PM
Hey all,
Hubby has been searching for months and finally got me my shorty. I decided on a SWB to cart my dogs around in cos there is much more room than the station wagon that I first wanted. Much more comfy for them in this!! I have 2 german shepherds. He got back only last night from Adelaide, so it is still dirty. The previous owner didn't clean it up at all and it hadn't been started for about 3 months. He hit a roo crossing the nullabor and did a bit of damage to the front end. The roo went under the van and trailer and got spat out the back!!
It has a worked 202 with a twin system Celica 5 speed, diff conversion, disc breaks, gas and petrol with 2 tanks for each, aircon, dual battery.

hubby says the trailer towed great, it was just heavy so he used a bit of fuel. He has to put a 'jocky wheel' on it also cos 2 men could hardly pick it up!

...nice one Shazbot, I've been wondering what this van looked like, has been in the trader for a couple of months, started at $8000 I think, the add never had any pictures or phone number....weird huh, definitely gone to a good home now....enjoy

Nice setup guys. Lucky dogs.

I've been looking at building a similar trailer myself but using a LWB van. If I can find one with minimal rust and no windows I'll give it a go.

Have fun with it.
Garry.
