hey guys,i recently bought a celica 5speed(i think its w50,the guy i bought from said it was from the 70's,but if someone could confirm that from the photos in my gallery...)
it has a crs bellhousing, spigot bush, crs slave cylinder bracket and some kind of fork?i looked on the crs web site to what else i need:
pivot ball
cable throwout fork?
thrust brearing carrier?
clutch plate
pressure plate
speedo cable
gearbox rubber mount
and its missing the shifter, which i'm aware i need to adjust to fit in the original position.also aware i have to modify the cross member.is that it?
also my clutch is mechanical do i have to convert to hydraulic?

hi mate
some pics in my gallery of this conversion i did on last CFS
u will need to adapt cross member....celica box is shorter and lower than 3/4 speed holden boxes..
-tail shaft will have to cut n rebalanced and fitted w Toyota Yoke
-bell housing adapter
will dig up my notes..on what i did to mine..more to come

The clutch plate there is 2 choises, celica plate gives you a normal clutch and the Toyota Dyna gives you a heavy duty clutch. for the preasure plate just use a holden.
When its a screw on cable on the back of the speedo use Toyota RT104 Corona, (measure first), If thats not long enough use Dyna.
Rear mount, has to be a celica
If the conversion uses a cable fork, means it must of been for a commodore, so just use the fork and bearing and pivot ball from one.
their is a number of different toyota 5 speeds, the main thing is the position the shifter comes up, bend the shifter to suit you. good luck on the relocation
*** DON'T FORGET THE SPIGOT BEARING *** this goes in the back of the crank, and supports the main input shaft from the gear box.
Things to get from CRS
Spigot bearing
piece to lenghten the tail shaft (best way is to get the shaft made to suit)

PS if you stay hydraulic, they used a EK holden slave cylinder, HK Holden flexible hose and any early holden master cylinder
Hope that helps

I was talking to my old partner today and I brought up the 5 speed conversion, he reminded me that the bellhousing were different. Think the pivot ball were on oppste sides. One pulls and the other pushes. might pay to checck
