Title: rear lift
Post by: benzzzy on September 05, 2012, 08:18:59 AM
hi folks,
any tips on raising the rear of my beddy motorhome about two inches.
it has a fair pack of springs on the rear that are still firm and sit fairly level but because of the rear overhang it scrapes its arse now and then and just a small lift would make all the difference.
thanks.

G'day

In the old days we used to make up some longer spring hangers and put some wedges under the diff to keep the input at the right angle.
The only other ways would be:
Get the springs reset.
Find another set of springs that are the right length and sit higher.

Or you could go airbags, if the big ford and chev GMCs can use them for towing 5th wheelers then i recon your van can handle them. Where do  you get them, all over these days and not to pricey either.
