Hi, i'm desperate to find a decent l/f door for my 82 Bedford, as there arent much around here in NZ..
-
have you tryed to contact the guy in thames that wreaks bedfords?
-
you mean Lance cryer ... i think he dumped all the CF parts. He didn't have panels, just parts
I put someone on to him the other week for parts and he claimed he only wrecked bedford trucks.
Where abouts are you Bedford_freak_nz ?
I know someone up here in Auckland that might have one but wouldn't be cheap
-
I'm in Wellington, and I know it wont be cheap.. My van only needs that door and it will be on the road after a 7 year wait..
I'd be interested in whats available in Auckland.. Got hold of the guy in Thames, and he wished me good luck.. lol

Pick a part in Mangere have a lwb CF on their list........there has to be a way!
-
Problem with them is I have to go up to Mangere to pull it off and I cant afford the time off work
-
I just checked TradeMe.
There are a few on there.
-
Ive messaged everyone on there and still no luck
-
Pick-a-Part in Wingate get them through occasionally. Keep an eye on their online stock listing. They're usually listed under 'Ford'. ::)
-
The one at Pick A Part in Mangere is knackered. I might know of another one but its for a CF1. So apart from the different inside door opener is there any difference between a CF1 and CF2 door ?
-
Not too sure about that one.. But if anyone else knows if they are compatible please let me know as I want my van on the road asap
-
The mk1 came out with 2 versions, the early had the push or pull inside door handle and the later came with the pull out inside handle (like the mk2), the mk1 also came in two different inside variations around the door handle/window winder.
The real early ones had the steel screw in panels with the 'lump' across the top section of the inside of the door, the later came out with a door trim (cardboard).
The mk1 doors came out with a thin steel door pull, while the facelift came out with a curvy hard plastic pull and the mk2 came out with a hard squared plastic one.
A lot of mk2's came out with black outside handles too.
The real early mk1 didn't come out with a key barrel in the passenger door
The outside shape and even the guts of the doors are the same.

you can use one of my doors till you get your own if you want
it a early cf can bring it to you and try it if you want
-
The van is at the customizer at the mo and would rather get my own rather than swapping them over again but would be interesting to see if they are compatible
-

no key hole on passenger door
booster master only had one outlet pipe
heater is the round model and went uo to the vents in the bonnet
mite be other things ... but not sure of the vans year
