Thanks for ruining my day. Is this a recent photo? I thought it was being restored at a panel shop in Sydney?

Bas I had so much respect for you. :-\
;) ;) ;)

Hope that guy in the photo is not at fault, if so I wouldn't show my face............ ;) Well the Jumbo roof suits it, and looks rust free.
-
I agree...The high roof looks really good. I hope someone finishes it.
I gather from earlier comments that this van may be a butchered historic custom.
If so then it IS a shame.
-
well a lot of show vans ended up like it,
at least its not in a paddock somewhere rotting away.
looks like it will get restored 1 day,
otherwise it wouldnt be sitting in a shed nice n dry.

Good point Mty. At least it's out of the elements. Someone needs to get hold of it and restore it to its former glory.

Why would you bother? Appears to be hardly anything of the original left.
Just sad, when you think of all the time & dollars that would have gone into it's creation..

Some people would bother with all kinds of things that others might not. Most things can be saved/revived you just have to have the want, the desire and that's definitely something that only some people have. Patience is the other part, it's probably the hardest one out of them all!
-
Realistically, though.. the interior's gone, probably driveline too, roof gone, all panels would need redoing..
You'd need a lot of dedication to see this one through.
-
It's ok Zeeman if you don't understand, people see things in different ways, some people just look at things and some look Beyond that. :)
-
I understand just fine, I've had a couple of ex - show vans myself.
Just echoing Marty's point that a lot of show vans end up at the crusher.. as this one is likely to.

So it's worth saying then, fom a Bedford point of view............ No probs then. ;) It's just your words you used (Why would you bother) This would not even enter some peoples mind that belong to the later group above. :) :)

i think van club members should check who there selling there vans to as like my van it was a winning van
-

Gee Wraithnight...I take my hat off to you buddy for saving that old girl. ;D How bad was she for rust when you got her? She looked pretty bad in that black :-\ But your last pic looks great ::)

once you sell it anything could happen to it. if yu cant risk having it hit the crusher DONT sell it!

and not many of us are in a position to let sentimental value out weigh the dollar value

I think it will come back bigger and better than before as for the roof I've allways liked the two stage
