Title: shock mountings

just got diff for the van and i think they have moved the shock mountings on the chasie for the old custom diff anyone got pics of an original van shock mounting

Both my SWB and LWB mount like this............... on a pin / bolt straight out from the chassie......

thanks guys looks like they have moved it to the out side of the chassie so going to have to move it back

Hey Wraith my 76 camper shock mounts are on the outside of the chasis rails & I dont think they have been modifyed I think there might be some photos in my camper update posts Cheers Reid

Hi guys seems its been 120 days since I last posted time flies when your haveing fun havent got a lot done but got the suspension done new bushes & belljoints all painted & back in Took a half coil off the front & it came down about 25mm & left out 1 leaf on the rear it came down about 40mm Will come down more when I get everything in like 80ltrs off water & extra batteries & all that stuff you need for camping Will put some photos up off things Ive accquired Cheers Reid

Strange, don't the springs and hangers run inline with the Chassie  ??? Both my van do... You would have to be very careful with the offset of the wheel....

It's only the lwb (dual wheel) has the springs inside the frame

My Camper shocks mount on the inside, but diff springs mount outside the Chassie, it is not a Duel wheel, nor a Jumbo, as wheel pitch is 18" shorter than my Jumbo ???

ok i think i will move mounts on the diff
