Title: bedford instrument cluster!
Post by: andrew_oc42 on February 19, 2012, 11:24:00 AM
hey everyone! so i'n new to bedfords, so it's quite the learning curve!

just wondering what a few buttons are "meant" to do, in which my case they are not...

http://i40.tinypic.com/20za9ti.jpg (http://i40.tinypic.com/20za9ti.jpg) (sorry for the bad pic, i'll take a better one asap!!)

there is a little black button, which is towards the left of the hazard switch (which is also not working)... any ideas on what it's for?

it also appears the tempreature gauge doesnt work either!

is it something i should look into fixing? or just replacing?

also, if anyone knows where i can get 3 of them black buttons, it would be greatful as i'm needing them for further mods :)

thanks guys! andy

Stock instument panel with what looks to be:

Top Left        : lights
Bottom Left   : Choke
Top Right      : Windsreen wipers
Bottom Right : ?? - could be speed control for wipers, but thats normally all in the one switch

thanks warren! appreciate your input.
yeah the bottom right switch appears to be a speed selector as the other button doesn't offer it.. that said it doesnt work and will need some investigating! (that said it's pretty loose)

gotta rip the cluster out soon and rebuild / repair anything which is broken!
currently the wiper speed switch and the temp gauge are faulty! petrol and speedo gauge seems to be functioning okay!

i haven't gotten any private messages mate? i'll message you mine now!

thanks

On mine the four Knobs on the instrument panel are Lights, Park and Low Beam, Choke, Windscreen Wipers and the one I think you are talking about (on mine), is the Fan Speed Selector.
On the outside the outer casing I have a red in/out Knob for the Emergency lights.

Welcome to BUGA Andy. Cheers
