Title: Bedford 202 water pumps
Post by: willo on January 29, 2012, 03:32:30 PM
Hi all,
Been doing my usual wander through the EBay pages on a wet Sunday and found a few Gates water pumps only for CF 202 Bedfords.  I'm curious.  Is there a specific water pump for a 202 powered Bedford as opposed to a 202 Powered HQ-HZ Kingswood? ???

I thought they were all the same.  I know they are interchangable.  Maybe the Beddie one moves more water around?

Neil

G'day Neil,

It certainly has been wet eh?
Thanks for Posting some more pics of your motorhome, it certainly helped
break the boredom of being stuck inside. (i will keep and eye out for any more of your set up
including your motor and running gear etc)
re the water pumps...
I would have thought they would all be stock standard..
I could be wrong but up until the CF2 weren't all Bedford's peered
by straight fours?

After theCF2's i think some had Blue or Back 202's

I will have a look on wickapedia or OLD Holden to check it out.

The length of the shaft that the fan sits on will get ya....they are all different..lengths...

from memory the later models had a longer shaft..this causes problems for us Beddy heads

coz it will hit ur radiator...or no room for a fan...etc

went thru this drama a while back...when replacing my water pump

think it was a 186 water pump i used...all the holden catalogues at stores said otherwise..
which just added to the confusion!!!
