Seen them on the news? if not it's where a group of people meet up at a certain spot at a certain time and perform a task on que i.e. singing, dancing or even just standing still. What about doing a flash mob with vans for no apparent reason heaps of vans all rock up at one place at a certain time, stay a small time then leave that would get people talking

The only problem with this is, 1. the beddy fraternity is spread far and wide, would the perth guys travel to qld, or would qld travel to S.A, unlikely. Where you would get 50,000 turn up to sing a note, you would likely get 20 or 30 beddies turn up, and not because we dont want to, just legistics. Then you have those of us that would die to be part of it, but our vans are still a work in progress, so. My guess is you would get more vans at the van nats then you would for this. Good luck.

you,ll never know if you dont give it a go.. i beleive the ol sayin is.... where is the geographical very centre of aus??? then from any coast its the same distance .. ::) ::)
-
Why leave it to just Beddies why not all vans and organise one in each state & island (for our NZ cousins) might even make a paper or two
-
we'll do one here at Easter, we'll call it the van nats :D
-
nah you can,t do that busy...someone,s already doin that ??? ??? ::) :)

i think the main issue is the surprise factor.
The reason a flash mob works is that hundreds of coordinated people can slowly walk up to a location anonymously and separately, then all of a sudden *BAM* 100 people all dancing in unison, you dont realise its happening until it has happened.
Plus people can walk into any place anytime, where as a collection of cars/vans/bikes etc would require adequate parking.
I'm not saying we cant adapt the idea, but i am saying the idea would need adapting as it isn't quite as easy to pull off with a couple of ton of bedford

True Matte, and i see a really big problem, how do you get a beddy to dance ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D it would take some efford to stand on it's rear bumper to swing. ;) ;D ;D ;D ::) ::) :o :o :o ;D ;D mmmmmm ;)

LOL :D good one Dave !
also i like your idea petrol head! take a bit of organisation thou....im trying to get a getoether here in syd...only a few have responded! very disapointed :'(
I reckon it would fun to be part of a beddy take over somewhere in some car park maybe...filling up the whole carpark with vans.....then going for a crusie in convoy....

theres not that many vans in Nsw..
