Custom vans in NZ that sit over the $7000.00 mark are hard to sell unless they have had a full rebuild........... But our friends on the other side don't have this problem by the happenings / sales, that I see on Buga..

G'day
Around here a registered van with an engineer approved 350 is very valuable no matter what condition it is in.
The big problem over here is the RTA approval of modifications.
If a van has been modified and has no engineering report then it is a rolling time bomb. After 30-40 years just about every CF has been modified in some way. If you have an accident in a modified non-engineered van then you can expect the full weight of the legal system to screw you over. And I can tell you that after having the full weight of the legal system used to screw me over several times that innocence, guilt, truth and justice will have nothing to do with what will happen.
In NSW getting an engineering report is becoming extremely difficult and extremely expensive, with modifications such as 350ci motors off the list.
If that van was over here and was registered with an engineers report, it would be worth substantially more than $10K. With exchange rates at the moment that van is only AU$7733 and freight rates between Aus and NZ are fairly reasonable. If that van was registrable in NSW I would be seriously looking at it myself.

I just got my standard CF cert'd and wof/rego.
think cert was $550.00 and rego was only $111.92 for a year, we think the cheap rego is because it's now classed as a vintage, is a '71 so is 40 years old.
Even fully road legal and the V6 etc I doubt I'd get 4-5 grand for it - not going to sell it though

110 a year? im in the wrong country!
-
they get you in other areas though, my motorbike for example is $430 for the year (because it only 600cc), and petrol $1.99a litre is tax tax all tax
plus you guys got a bigger resale value there
