Hi all,
Just went and looked at 2 x SWB vans for sale in Albany. 1 x good and 1 x parts van [complete] Both run, the green one has a 186 with 3 speed manual and a chev 10 bolt diff. wide mags with new tyres [$500.each apparently] has flares an is good straight cond. gutters are good, some monor rust spots here and there. has a custom cab dash, spare windscreen. It is unlicensed but wouldnt take much to get over the pits. has been garaged for the last 3 years. interior is decked out but dated. The blue one is rusty but complete.....has mags on it in Beddy pattern all round.
doors are ok and fixable......
He is asking $5000 for both but is negotiable.....he has the blue one for sale on a community website down here for $600......but would prefer to sell the pair together......i took some photos and they can bee seen here http://www.buga.com.au/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=21&g2_itemId=23406 (http://www.buga.com.au/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=21&g2_itemId=23406) however inside the shed is dark and some did not turn out too good. He has lots of projects on the go and is keen to move these on for more space.......his number is 0401099418 and his name is Steve

It was originally an eastern states van. [apparently] Steve bought if from a guy up in Broome and drove it down to Albany to use a show car tow vehicle.....he was going to use it it tow and and sleep in at custom car events but never got around to it.....it has been undercover in a sheed for the last 4 years......worth giving him a call if anyoine is interested
-
i like the green one, has potential to be a nice daily mobile.
might give him a call tomorrow and see whats up. although i dont like the idea of trecking it to albany and back (no offence!) haha. although i suppose a road trip could be interesting.
-
trex, i can't believe you haven't already bought this.......
i like the general shape of this green one, plus the stance heaps better than the red and black one
only thing im not sure about is the driveline, but that's neither here nor there. it has alot of potential
-
yeah i know, its the logistics of Albany putting me off more than anything + the absence of rego.
didnt call him the other day. sitting on my hands for a short while before i decide to pull the trigger or not.
also the fact i have just purchased a new daily for the time being between finding a van :) the humble ke20 corolla:

great car choice had one that went forever..................
-
hey, I had one of them, It was known as Ron the Rolla
it was painted in a lovely shade of poo brown
Ron went well, someone had put a celica 5 speed in it and 13" wheels.
it was a fun little car on the dirt, I got it up on 2 wheels once.
I ended up swapping Ron for a VCR, I still have the VCR here somewhere, ;D
