The camper is sold guys. ;D
The Easyroller is still in the panel shop, going on 2 years now and startin to get pissed off. Its not an important job for him so its been put in the back corner. Going to get heavy with him and get it sorted out. I want it for the van nats.
The interiour was rooted. I made a big mistake and through out the front seats they were so bad, still has the original 14 inch TV in it. Plans are to do it all as it was. Can't wait to get in it and drive, you guys will see me every where in it then, lol
cheers

Hey james, mate this is one reason i got my tradies to come out to my workshop and work on it, that way i can keep a close eye on them working. The other reason being, because i was doing a major rebuild and custom work, if they ran into a problem, then they would have to wait on me to get to them and solve the problem, by having them here i am on the spot and can solve the problem then and there, trust me there have been a few. Unfortunately when we have to prep the body for painting and the paint i will have to put it on a tow truck and take it to their workshop because they have a paint booth and ovens, and i am not going to shortcut the final finish, but trust me i will be laying down the law ahead of time, and they wont take months to finish it, they know not to bs me now.
Mate just give it to them so they get the message, but just shy of them quitting the job, your van, your money, they work for you so make sure they get it.

That George,, he takes no prisoners when it comes to his Beddie... ;D ;D :D
-
Thanks George, the unfortunate thing was it is a favour job from some one else,(deals between friends, not a good idea) he did ring me one time to say he wasn't going to do it but i told him not to F*#K me around, you made an agreement with me and you will honour it and the van will stay there until you finish it. He agreed but now its a waiting game. I will put the preesure on him again.

Friends and favors, tough situation. lol. All my tradies were a bit hesident at taking on such a massive job, but let me tell you, after the first day they had caught the bug and now they really get into it, to be honest my sheetmetal guy has been the only problem, and that is because he is trying to run a workshop and come out to my place to work at the same time, but good news is we are getting close to completion, so we are getting there, in the end when i am cruising in my beddy all the headaches will be a distant memory, i try to look at the big picture, so if reality is as good as the dreams i am going to be one very happy beddy owner. oh yehhhhhhhhhh [/b]

Thats the best attitude George ;D
Thats when dreams come true
I too will forget all the problems when i get mine back, its just annoying as i have a magazine lined up for a feature when its finished
-
You really are putting preasure on yourself. ;) I will be waiting till i get my van back from paint, then i will ring around, see what sort of notice they need for photo shoots and so on. Even when i get it back from paint, i still have to trim it out from scratch, design an entertainment package from scratch, because i have gutted my van to a shell i wont be using anything beddy, so everything from a loom to the head units have to be designed and built from nothing, but i know that when its done, i will have a 90% original beddy to show off. Man i can't wait, we finished a mod last week, i had been dreaming of one awesome mod, it was the only ugly part of a beddy, and for 5yrs i have dreamed of doing what no other van has done, we did, it's done and it looks awesome, better then my photoshopped pic. All will be revealed soon. hehe
Hey james do you have pics of your van to date, are you documenting the build.
george.
-
George, just a suggestion but it might be a good idea to leave your paint till last. If you paint the van and then try to do the interior I can just about guarantee it'll be making a return trip to the paintshop after you've finished the inside.
-
can't wait to see what you have done George. got a few pics, heres one
-
hey rogue all going to plan, i hope to completely build the interior, then pull it all out, paint, and then put it back in, that way i will have every last hole already drilled b4 paint. For all those that wonder why it takes so long to do a show van, thats why. With my engine, we pulled the 186, pulled the 3.8, bolted in the 3.8, set it all up, then pull the 3.8, rebuild and paint, and then put it back in for the last time, i hope lol ;D But as rogue said, this is the only way to garrantee everything looking fresh when it goes in for the last time.

So true George, that is the best way. Spoke to the panel shop today and he says he wants the Easy Roller finished and out by Christmas, well i have heard that before but this time i sorta believe him, lol ;D
-
He has about 6 weeks, so heres hoping. My sheet metal guy will be here on monday to put my new grill back together, mount the new lights and finish that off. Then we have one more biiiiigggg job b4 xmas, 3 day job, hopfully. From there i need to build my custom mirrors, and my new roof wing, then it will be just a heap of fiddly bits to finish before it heads to the coast for paint, all i have to do now is HOPE that my sheetmetal guy and bank account stay healthy. ;D ;D ::) :D

Good luck with it George. One thing i forgot to ask the panel man was what christmas???? lol. Oh well, heres hoping and i will keep my fingers crossed, all good i hope i will have it at the Vic Hot Rod show
