Title: Bailey Channel Rubbers
Post by: Grogan on July 29, 2009, 12:00:00 PM
Hello,
Well Beddy arrived last Friday on a truck, yayayay.  First order of business was doing a lap of the block, or course I ran out of fuel, on a gas only vehical this is a problem. So tow truck to the servo hahahaha, I wouldn't have made it driving there. I was more amused than anything. but yeah body is in good shape mechanics are excellent, interior not so good but nothing elbow grease wont fix im sure. Never having had a beddy before, opening the bonnet was a challenge lol. I was expecting it to pop up when i moved the lever hahahaha. Well i've got a bit of tinkering to do I am a very happy boy.

Oh yeah so anyway lol, I am after some bailey channel stuff for the front windows. um I have emailed Rubber Seals Australia they have the inner adn outer bottoms and front and back of the window but not the top, apparantly thats deeper? Any ideas peeps?

Cheers,

Grogan

the ones i found there are 12 mm deep and 12mm wide...

they are wide enuff but not not quite as deep as the originals.

.I am waiting for them to call me back as they are trying to source the the deeper 15mm version

Ok, bad news i'm affraid.
...sorry folks the best we could find or come up with was to reline our existing ones.......it is a bailey felt for old chevy's mainly, but the felt was used to line the actual frame that housed the glass assembly ,beleive or not.....typical.... but not the answer we were all hoping for..... I will keep pushing all avenues and post some pics  of application . if it works well and you have difficulty finding or doing it yourself i'd be happy to do an exchange thingy....let me know. Dan

soooo if you can find some that are holding their shape but need relining, it can be done.
