Unfortunately he passed away about 2 years ago . :'( But a few of the holden guys directed me to here. And now i have a place where my beddie and i can feel loved and appreciated. ;D (i can feel a group hug comming on) :o ;D

I was on my way to work riding my motorbike and I pulled up next to a bloke in a bedford van and asked him if he knew any
good places where I could get some parts. he said "your best bet is to google a site called bedford user group" and then the light
changed and I've never seen that van again.
Weeks later and with a bit of research I managed to stumple across the old site, he forgot to mention the "australia" part or i didnt
hear him (I was wearing a helmet).
Many thanks to the stranger in the blue van.

I found the old site through google.

I found it thru googling around looking to see if there was any sights for beddies. I must admit I didn't expect to find any, thought there would have been one for the Transit guy's but was pleasantly surprised. 8) 8) 8)

-
uased to search quite often for beddie sites etc, then gave up for a while .......while "ol mate wombat was hot on the case and finally slapped me accross the face with his computa one day when I went round his place , take a look at this!!!!!!!
Gave up the porn then and then! well , that's what i told the wife anyhoow :P
-
Found it though David (busy kiwi) his own personal web site, he had a link on there, had Googled Bedford / Custom many times but did not show BUGA, or maybe it did on page 22222, but never got that far!
-
I was just lookin around for info before we bought our ambo.
I think it was a link from UK CF Site
Thanks for the site great job keep up the good work. ;)
-
found this site a couple years back when it was linked in to the bedford.cf in it's old format. Looks heaps better now and much more user friendly ;D i would have been stuck many times without Buga and it's the best place to ask all those stupid questions , cause surely there's been someone who's done the same thing your trying to do before on a beddy!!

+1 I found out about this site from reading Jacks posts on oldholden.com. I thought he was real interesting so I looked at his profile or "shed" as they call it on oldholden and somehow got the BUGA link from there.
I feel sad to learn Jack has past away. He is who got me into bedfords, I never considered getting one until I saw his on Oldholden.com
Here is a link to his shed http://gallery.oldholden.com/Jack_s/ (http://gallery.oldholden.com/Jack_s/)
-
i googled my name and there was a forum post with name in it.......fancy that i thought.....it's gotta be Wombat thats involved
-
really :-\??
-
I was told about it by garrry several times but every time I looked I couldn't get into the gallery to look at pics so came to the conclusion it must be a text only site, and didn't think about it again until I saw garry at another van gathering then went home and tried again and came to the same conclusion. Finally tried again upon garrys advice that its a great site, and discovered that if you get a login then you get into everything, finally what garry had told me about the site was correct and made sense. Great site, and great people on this site, have figured out how to do most things on the site including how to put pics on the gallery. Having fun, and am glad to share my experience with others.
Cheers Jeff

Found it by searching for bedford info on Google and what a life saver this site is.....Cheers to you all guys.

i came over from the old buga which i found when looking for parts online,
years ago i had been told about something called the bedford club in melbourne, they were supposed to have lots of parts for sale, but when i called them up they wanted a joining fee and wouldnt tell me what parts were available or prices until i paid to join. it was like the black arts of bedford parts secret society, maybe connected to fundaligionism, give us your money and maybe we might have what you want for an undetermined price
thank god i found the buga's
saved my van
saved my money
saved my street credibility
saved my marriage.......no not really
-
matty, i might be the stranger in the blue van

hey guys, picked up my next beddy project van at xmas, went to the van nats in geelong, didn't know one existed till then, my first beddy i bought brand new off the show room floor in 1976, we started a big van club ( bedfords only) on the mornington penninsula , called" Bedford Vans United", in competition with the "Sandmans, Sundowners and then this thing called a" Drifter" came along (dog ugly),still got pictures of "the Judge" on my front lawnin geelong then, maybe around 1978 ish getting a wash and polish before the Van shoe in the local hardware store car park in Corio. :)

Hi Hawkeye,
The Van Nats will be on again this Easter coming. ;D ;D

i notice we are climbing up the search listings on google:)
searching under "bedford cf" we are 3rd listing
and searching under just "bedford" we are 9th listing:) both on the first pages
seaching under "bedford van" 13th listing (second page)
when i looked a while ago we werent even on the first page. so i guess things are looking good for the buga community:)

The google listings also vary depending on where your location is.
Here in Portugal, I search "bedford cf" on google.com and this site appears 6 pages down....

I would like to say that I found it through facebook - that would be cool. If a fellow beddy lover found this site
through facebook - wouldn't that be cool!
I found the old BUGA through google, then I helped setup this new BUGA. Then I went away for a while, parked
the beddy, got married etc etc and now I am back. What a great site we have here, still plenty of room for growth.
