Well it was time to take Silverado up to Kerkeri to our winter base.
Aside from a few rattles and a dire need for a wheel balance, which meant keeping under 90kmph, the trip went really well.
Only at one point did a rear door fly open after hitting a fairly large drop in the road on an up hill climb, this leads me to think the floor is still flexing at the very rear ::) :-\ never mind the welding to come will take care of that.
The engine runs real sweet and the trans shifted nicley, the new temp gauge was good because I was able to keep an eye on the engines tamp performance and i had a bit of a load on board, as Id had to bring quite a few items up from Auckland with me.
Izy our faithfull dog appreciated the room to spread out in the back, but im sure shes waiting for me to remove the bench seat so she can sit up front and watch where we are going.
She likes to lie along the dash in our motorhome when we are traveling and it gets a lot of attention and smiles from other vehicles.
So Silverado is now safely here in Northland, next step to begin the rust removal and tidy up.
It was great to meeet David aka "busy" and also Bas when I was in Auckland, I was able to have a look at thier vans and share some ideas, thanks guys.
Anyway that was my weekend road trip "sort of" id been in Auckland for a week.
So what did you do for your long weekend ??
