A mate of mine just made one for his Pontiac, he used 2 engine stands, 2 hydraulic rams and lots of steel. he went from the bumper mount at back and chassis mount of firewall, I had a thought of using it after he is done with it for my van but the mounting would be awkward. back maybe top hinge mounts, front maybe bumper mounts but reckon van would have to be stripped right down (no doors, susp or interior) as those points are the strongest

G'day
Years ago I saw one made out of heavy wall 50mm pipe holding up a Pontiac.
One pivot point had a clamp to hold it and at the other end he had a truck brake adjuster at the pivot point to turn it.
A truck brake adjuster has a reduction gearbox in it and allowed him to rotate it to any angle safely as a one man operation.
And no I didn't have my camera.
Regards
Chris

No, it was back in the old days before digital cameras. Now I always carry an upmarket Fuji in the toolbox.
Yesterday I saw an early model Ford Transit dual cab tray back 4wd V8 truck with sliding door, traveling through town towing a bloody big trailer. And yes, I got photos.

Sorry for the delay, finally got around there today and got some photos for ya
is two engine stands and two rams, the middle cut off the stands and inserts inside which slide and lock the height
as you can see not a lot of height in his garage but the car can spin around without hitting anything
hope it helps

cheers guys ,
