I don't know what every one else's opinion is of the Melb. get together, but I personally thought it was great. The diverse range of mods. done & every ones ideas of how a cool beddy should look was amazing. Credit must be given to all who attended to show off their beasts & my sympathy goes out to all that couldn't attend for they missed out on a great outing & the chance to meet fellow beddy owners. By the way I thought there was 5 v8 vans there (correct me if I am wrong).

I found that an overdrive improved fuel economy marginally depending on diff ratio in the first place. I had a 2.75 ratio 9" added an overdrive then changed diff to 3.5 & ended up with the same economy ( overdrive gave me 5% improvement only over no overdrive). The biggest factor is the frontal area & weight of the van. Swapping the holden six for a 350 chev only dropped my consumption by 6% but I put this down to all the drive train & motor adding 250kg to the weight of my van.The biggest advantage of an overdrive is lower engine revs & makes it a lot quieter & prolongs the life of the motor.

Hey guys, what is the chance of getting a copy of quiet a few of the photos that were taken on the day? It wasn't till I went to download the pics off my camera this morning that I realized that it was set to the lowest res. & none of them are worth looking at.

Jimmy you are quiet welcome to take photos of all the mods on my van as they are all fully engineer certified. It has been fitted out with a 350 chev, turbo 700, 9" rear end, 4wheel discs, etc. The list is very long. Hope I can help you on the day.

Yes, i will be bringing the Frasca Electronics van out. It needs a bit of a tidy up at the moment but it's still a good jigger.
