Driveline / Front stubs

G'day I got a swb tray back truck off mty a while back and I was going to transfer all the running over to my lwb but I have decided to keep the duals on the rear. What I would like to know is can I just change the front stub axles or do I have to change the whole front end. I know it would mean that I will have to have two spares but I only carry a spare when I go on a long haul anyhow.

Mate I have an xc grill and it quite simple. What we done was cut the top peice off the beddy grill that the bonnett catch bolts to then digrinded out the back of the xc where the grill touches the catch. Where the grill fits into the gaurds we tapped it to the shape of outside of the grill till the xc sat in flush. We then dummy fitted the lights to the grill sat all in the hole then marked and made up some brackets in the engine bay for the lights to bolt to then finally put some flat screws in the top and bottum near the blinker.
Some people don't put the brackets in the engine bay and then wonder why their grill cracks because it's got no support for the weight of the lights. By using flat screws near the blinkers it will allow you to remove the blinker lenses to change the bulbs.

Gday Skip.
Mate if you are talking about the seal that your tailshaft goes though then there a peice of piss to do.
If you have the new seal just pop out the tailshaft tap a flat screwdriver between the edge of the housing and the old seal
then flick it out. Tap in the new seal lightly with a hammer put the tailshaft back in and bob's ya uncle.
Go wipe ya hands on the cooks curtains and go cruzin.

Gday Guy's and Dolls

I got my little truck back yesterday after an 11 year absence
she a little battle scared but still in one piece.
Anyway my problem is that she has a broken speedo cable.
I went to the local autopro and they couldn't find anyone that suppies them.
Does anyone know where I can get one or what other car I
could take one out of as I need to get one to get it registed.

Gday. Just like to introduce myself I'm Shane aka Pancho. Lucky for me I stumbled on the site while looking for info on Beddies in Google. I'm a council worker in QLD and I have just repurchased the truck in profile after a long sad absence. I brought the truck as a rusted cab chassis 13 years ago and my nephew who is a master at panel and paint and myself set about moulding it into what you see here. Stand out changes are the xc fairmont grille and lights and the front bumper which is a izuzu truck that we cut 12 inches out of the guts and welded back together. When I get it back home I want to do a complete driveline upgrade to V6 and single wheel diff so I can run a set of extra fat mags so any diiff opinions would be great to hear of.

We then plan to use it to cruz to car shows and swap meets in. Regards Pancho.
